Battle Into
these Arms
is a 'rap opera' of about 30 minutes. Based upon a given story, the boys have
written the rap texts themselves. Music will be by Pink Floyd (parts of The Wall)
and Rammstein. Furthermore, the boys have arranged bits of music to which they
will rap their lyrics live. One girl will be dancing in the rap opera. Film
images will be part of the choreography. The rap opera will include movements
from acrobatics, gymnastics, clip dance, modern dance, break dance,
improvisation and the boys' own movements.
The
story is about a boy and his friends who bully a homeless boy and steal
something from him. Another group of boys rushes to help the homeless kid, which
leads to a fight between the two groups. The gangs agree to compete in a break
dance battle later. Boys
