Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME) Dutch premières for St. Petersburg

Leading Russian contemporary music ensemble MCME, with Yuri Kasparov as Artistic Director, has invited the four prominent Dutch composers Theo Loevendie, Roderik de Man, Astrid Kruisselbrink and Florian Mayer to write new works for the occasion of the 300-year anniversary of St. Petersburg. Works by Yuri Kasparov, Elena Langer and Calliope Tsoupaki will also be performed. In the last three years the MCME has performed about 40 concerts with music of many different Dutch composers all over Russia. They have also recently recorded a CD with music by Roderik de Man. The concert will take place in the main hall of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory.
