As part of the Dutch contribution to the festivities of the 300-year anniversary of St. Petersburg, the Netherlands Museum Association (NVM) will organise a course on Museum Management for the museum staff of St. Petersburg and other parts of Russia. The four-day course will take place at the Peter and Paul Fortress. The programme is part of the MATRA project, in which the enlargement of the expertise of Russian museum staff  is paramount. Most activities will take place in the region and city of Vologda.

On Saturday 20 September and Sunday 21 September public lectures will be held by Herman Aarts (Managing Director Stedelijk Museum Zwolle) and Kees Plaisier (former member of staff Historisch Museum Rotterdam) at the State Hermitage Museum. These lectures are to be confirmed.
